Education

In our development of educational establishments, we’re committed to using sustainable design and materials to enhance the learning environment.

EcoTech Centre, Swaffham

The award-winning EcoTech Centre is dedicated to promoting environmental issues. It features one of the UK’s largest single wind turbines and a productive organic garden. The Centre includes passive solar design, high levels of insulation, and energy efficient systems.

Tacolneston V.C. Primary School

The extensions and alterations to this historic village school replaced several mobile classrooms with three new classrooms, a hall and other facilities. Tight constraints impacted on planning and site operations, such as the preservation of mature trees.

Hellesdon High School

A large extension created 18 new classrooms, with a separate music and drama building. In addition, the existing library has been completely refurbished, and a new computer suite created. The simple design complements the rigid functionalism of the original buildings.

Montessori School, Great Ellingham

This development of a Grade II Listed 17thC barn in the grounds of the Old Hall provided school accommodation for 40 children. A complete renovation retained and exposed the original oak structure and created a range of visually interlinked spaces.
