Commercial & Industrial

In our industrial and office developments, we aim to include as many environmentally sustainable building techniques as possible within a commercial context.

Mansell, Swaffham

This new office is located on the EcoTech Business Park and the design takes advantage of the views to the wind turbine. High levels of insulation use cost-effective recycled cellulose fibre, and glazing on the north side provides good daylight.

Business Units, Swaffham

The design of these ten flexible business units includes a timber frame, high levels of cellulose fibre insulation, and organic paints and stains. Heat is provided by a district system, connected to a woodchip-fired boiler at the local EcoTech centre.

Office extension, Wymondham

This timber-framed extension to a traditional Edwardian detached house provides office space on two levels. Environmental design features include recycled newspaper insulation, natural timber cladding and organic paints and stains.

Power Station, Eye & Cricklade

Following feasibility studies, planning permission was obtained for a new wood-chip fired power station at Eye. As well as being a renewable energy project, the buildings were designed to reflect the environmental concerns, including a large timber frame.
